Our Pastor

The Reverend Dr. Randy Moody was born and raised in Arkansas. In his youth, he was active in his church, participated in sports and music earning All-State Choir honors as well as singing baritone in a state championship barbershop quartet. He graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a degree in psychology before earning a Master of Divinity degree at Memphis Theological Seminary. After several years of ministry, he earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Northern Seminary.


Dr. Moody is married to Lee who is a science teacher in the Lee County Public School system. She earned a Bachelor degree at the University of Kansas and a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership at Argosy University. They have two grown children, Rachel and Philip.

Pastor Moody has always been active at the presbytery level serving on multiple committees and administrative commissions as called upon. He is a former Trustee of the Cumberland Presbyterian Childrens Home in Denton, TX.  Currently, he is the Stated Clerk of Peace River Presbytery.


Dr. Moody is a member of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution with 10 proven Patriots of the American Revolution. He served two terms as the Chaplain General of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution and was awarded the Minuteman Medal which is the higest medal the National Society presents. Dr. Moody was also awarded the Patriot Medal by the Florida Society Sons of the American Revolution which is the highest award a state society can present. Along with his son, Philip who is also a member of the SAR, he participates in the General Lighthorse Harry Lee Camp, Florida Sons of Liberty Brigade Color Guard. He also participates in joint events with the Daughters of the American Revolution with his wife, Lee, and their daughter, Rachel, who are members of the DAR.


Dr. Moody is also active in Rotary International. Among the leadership roles he has filled in this organization are Director, Membership Chairman, Youth Exchange Officer, Youth Programs Chair, Foundation Chair, and Interact Club Liaison. He is also a Paul Harris Fellow.
